RULES
Pool Play (Sideout Scoring)

5-Team Pool: 1 set to 15, cap at 17

4-Team Pool: 2 sets to 11, cap at 13

Warmups: 5 minutes total (2.5 minutes per team)

Each match must have 1 referee and 1 scorekeeper

Top 3 teams advance to Playoffs
Playoffs

First Round: 1 set to 15, no cap

Quarterfinals: 1 set to 15, no cap

Semifinals: 1 set to 15, no cap

Finals: Best of 3 sets, each to 11, no cap

Serving
-
Let serves are NOT allowed
-
If the ball touches the net and goes over on serve, it's an automatic point for the receiving team

Hitting

Open-hand tips are NOT allowed
-
Handsetting to attack is allowed only if shoulders and hips are square to the direction of the ball
Setting
-
Ball must not spin more than one full rotation

Clean contact required – referee has final say

Carries are not allowed (no deep holds or excessive sinking)
Passing

Open-hand receive on serve is NOT allowed
-
Open-hand receive is allowed only on hard-driven attacks (must be a downward motion or follow-through)

Players may set the first contact, but it must be clean
Blocking

Block does NOT count as a touch
